Day 1: A Night Under the Stars in Aberdare
Upon arrival in Kenya, you will be warmly welcomed by representatives from Zakale Safaris, marking the beginning of your safari adventure. Set off on a scenic drive through the cool, lush Kenyan highlands, arriving at the Aberdare Country Club for a delightful lunch. This charming lodge serves as the base for The Ark Lodge, a unique tree lodge nestled within Aberdare National Park. In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred by a lodge shuttle to The Ark Lodge, where only your light luggage will be taken for the night. Here, you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to observe wildlife up close from elevated viewing decks as they gather at the lodge’s waterhole. As evening falls, savor a delicious dinner and spend a memorable night at The Ark Lodge, embracing the sounds of the wild.

Day 2: Breakfast by the Waterhole and Safari in Samburu
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast overlooking the waterhole, where wildlife often gather in the early hours. Afterward, return to the Aberdare Country Club to collect your luggage and meet up with your driver guide. Begin your journey toward Samburu or Shaba National Reserve, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Arriving at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, you’ll have time to unwind before embarking on your first afternoon game drive, where you’ll explore Samburu’s fascinating wildlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for a delicious dinner and a restful night in the heart of this unique reserve.

Day 3: The Wilds of Samburu and Shaba National Reserve
Prepare for a day of safari adventure as you embark on morning and afternoon game drives or opt for a full-day experience with picnic boxes. Known for its rare and northern species, including Grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich, and the reticulated giraffe, Samburu offers a thrilling experience in the wild. Shaba, a neighboring reserve, boasts stunning landscapes that served as the backdrop for the iconic film Born Free and the reality series Survivor: Africa. Encounter abundant wildlife and immerse yourself in this unique ecosystem before returning to your lodge for a relaxing evening with full-board meals and comfortable accommodations.

Day 4: Sweetwaters Safari and Rhino Sanctuary
Following breakfast, journey south to Sweetwaters Game Reserve, a haven within the expansive Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive in Sweetwaters, famous for its black and white rhinos and its impressive array of wildlife. Day 6: Drive to the Masai Mara
After an early game drive and breakfast, depart for the renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, descending through the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for a refreshing lunch at your chosen lodge or camp, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive. Day 8: Morning Safari and Farewell

Return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast, then prepare for your journey back to Nairobi. Arriving in the city, enjoy a farewell lunch to celebrate the incredible experiences of your safari adventure. Afterward, proceed to the airport for your onward flight, carrying cherished memories of your journey through Kenya’s stunning wilderness.
